Laser cutting technology and CAD controlled bending machinery will ensure that individual design briefs are faithfully produced as Steel Art products.

Our work can be produced in a wide range of materials and finishes for individual specifications:-

Materials

• Mild Steel - This has a dark appearance and is the cheapest metal to work with it contains no protection against the elements and as such will rust and age naturally.
• Stainless 304 - This has a silvery appearance and is more resistant to the elements than mild however given time the effects will be the same it will rust. It is much more suitable to indoor pieces.
• Stainless 316 - The highest grade stainless steel suitable for outdoor and indoor purposes it has the exact same appearance as the 304 but is much more resistant to the elements.

Finishes

• Mill finish - this is an even colouring in most cases with no additional finishing details.
• DP1 - A dull or brushed finish is achieved on one side of the material
• DP2 - indicates that it has both sides finished in a brushed effect
• MP1 - One side of the material has a mirror finish.
• MP2 - indicates both sides have a mirror finish.
• Angle ground - this is a simple effect that can be achieved by applying an angle grinder over the surface of a finished design. It created a semicircular effect down the piece.

A secure courier service is used for delivery of our standard products. Before dispatch of unique products we will inform you of the delivery charges by email or telephone. Alternatively larger pieces can be collected from our Sheffield warehouse.
